Team-Building

Not Your Typical Team-Building Program

Building trust between busy people of diverse cultures, work experiences, ages, and beliefs in today's hybrid remote models can be challenging.  How do you make the best use of the team's time while creating sustainable behaviors that don't disappear as soon as the program ends?

Much of the success of the large-scale transformation initiatives I've led came from my work with diverse teams.  I've recruited, trained and managed numerous project and operations teams; inspired cultural change across entire organizations; and made teaming authentic, enduring, and fun.

So what's different about my approach?

Assessment Tools
I love to think outside the box when it comes to assessments.  I can leverage pretty much any tool you have access to as a foundation for exploration, be it Clifton Strengths, or my favorite: the VIA Strengths Assessment at https://www.viacharacter.org/Dashboard/

Storytelling
Along with my partners at the Berkeley Executive Coaching Foundation, I love leveraging your team's leadership stories by pairing folks up and have them relate their partner's journey.

Group Play
When was the last time your team had fun at work?  I believe that when a team loses their sense of play, they lose the ability to innovate and break out of patterns of skepticism and "why this won't work" mentalities.  I leverage my own imagination and deep learning in positive psychology to reset a team's belief in the impossible.

Recognition and Rewards
Because nothing says thank you like a pile of rocks.  See my blog on designing heart-felt, inspirational team recognition and rewards with humor and inside jokes.
